Tokyo Rope since 1887.
Since its establishment in 1887, Tokyo Seiko Rope Mfg.Co.,Ltd. has been the leader of rope industry at all times in Japan. In 1963,
in order to expand the field of marine and offshore market, we started to produce the 8 strand plaited rope with our originally designed machine.
The characteristics of the 8 strand rope and the machine had a good evaluation by the customer. Furthermore, in 1976 we began production of the high intensity, double braid rope, naming "Toughlay" made by newly installed braider.

Based on superior techniques and highly controlled quality of rope making, we produce our ropes in a manner that is both safely and easily to use for all the varying ship companies, marine and offshore construction companies.

With the emergence of many new fibers, we have also developed a myriad of advanced technology within this field. In line with this, our integrated technology of these fibers has enabled us to introduce our new products in several kinds of market. An example of this is found in examining the Saroma lake in Hokkaido. Here, in order to protect the scallop culture racks in the lake, we introduced the Aramid fiber as used in the double braided rope to dam up the drift ice.
Furthermore, we introduced techniques used in mooring buoys deep at sea, and also ropes used in insulation at various electrical companies.
In 1991, in line with our desire to contribute to the customers,
we introduced the 500MT testing machine of the rope strength and durability to analyze the rope life.

Furthermore, in 1999, in the line with market demand, we installed the big machine for the 12 strand rope,"Twell"
