Taeil Magnetics Co., Ltd. is specialized in manufacture and export of tape head components(ceramic blocks), glass wafers, and computer heads: burnish head and optical head. Acquired ISO 9002 certification in 1997, the company’s core product is tape head components, which has been exported to Seagate Co. in Malaysia since 1999. Owing to the accumulated know-how and experience from manufacturing and exporting MR/GMR heads: sliders, the company gains technological superiority in slicing, lapping, polishing and ion milling process. The sliders were once produced one million units per month and exported to Fujitsu Co. in Japan. Currently the company is expanding its business scope to various fields: supplying glass wafers to Samsung Co. and developing optical heads in collaboration with LG Co. in Korea. In the near future, the company will be in a position to handle mass production of optical heads and burnish heads. Established in 2000, Taeil Magnetics Co., Ltd. is a privately owned company with registered capital of more than US$100,000. A further US$600,000 has been invested in business operations.
