Sungbo produces photodegradable materials using calcium carbonate, an inorganic matter. In Korea, a country without petroleum resources, a petrochemical called synthetic resin which is a material for all industrial goods is recklessly used because of its high usability. Synthetic resin is convenient, but it emits a huge amount of pollutants and has become the main culprit of environmental pollution.
Sungbo has continuously made technological development and developed incinerating and photodegradable materials, such as construction materials like pipes and panels, mulching films for agriculture and industries and packing materials. Sungbo manufactures resin which is a petrochemical used for producing plastic goods using calcium carbonate and an inorganic compound, CaCo3 Masterbatch. These products are environment-friendly materials, inorganic compounds, which are cheaper by over 60% than resin which is a petrochemical.
