Sri Kandhan Rugs was established in the year 1966, in the line of making traditional quality handloom dhurries. By dint of perseverance, hard work, discipline and high standards set by our founder the business growth was steady that gave rise and freedom for diversification of products and expansion of activities. As a result until 1992, the firm taping the requirements of the domestic market and also supplied the export quality products to merchant exporters. Having gained valuable experience for almost three decades the firm entered into direct export in the year 1992 with modernisation of processing and emerged as a successful Export house. In the year 1995 the company incorporated as Sri Kandhan Rugs Exports Pvt. Ltd.
We have about 7000 handloom set UPS engaged in the manufacturing, there by about 14000 weavers are provided with continuous and gainful employment. Apart from these we have 7 factories for mending and packing, where 1500 skilled workers are employed to give final touches in quality control. Out of the total employees 70% are women
