Core components of the extruder include the screw and barrel, both of which are crafted from high quality 38CrMoAIA material, provided to us by BAOSTEEL. After proper tempering, this substance can achieve hardness between HB260 and 290. The nitriding process features a layer depth of 0.7mm and further enhances the hardness to a range between HV930 and 970. For wear resistance, Ni60 alloy coating is selectively applied to lengths of the barrel discharging end (400mm) and screw thread surface (800 to 1500mm). The coating thickness ranges from 1.8mm to 2.5mm and the hardness exceeds HRC60. These properties are engineered to provide enhanced wear resistance for an extended lifespan. The YIM extruder screw and barrel are available with an extended warranty of 15 months, during which free replacement service is available. We provide screw design solutions based on customer requirements. We can also manufacture the part precisely according to client-side blueprints.
