During early 1999, in anticipating of growth of economy and high-rise building development in Malaysia, Mr C.K. Liew and his team set-up SC Mechanical Supplies Sdn Bhd (SCM). The core business activities of SCM is to supply piping for HVAR as if copper tube, mild steel and galvanized pipes, pre-insulated pipes, insulations as polyglass, superlon etc. These products are mainly catered for high-rise building and public utilities such as universities, schools, hospitals, airports and etc. Today, SCM is a truly Malaysian private limited company located at Balakong, Selangor and set up a factory building occupying an area of approximately 20, 000 square feet of production of pre-insulated pipes named Polytech Insulation Sdn Bhd and office space. With the state of the art computer-aided production facilities to ensure quality and efficiency of the production of pre-insulated pipes, SCM and Polytech Insulation Sdn Bhd have gained excellent reputation in supplying copper pipes, pre-insulated pipes for major buildings and projects, both in Malaysia and etc. The success of SCM was not achieved overnight, but through sheer hard work and determination over a passage of time.
