PT. Subur Makmur fully-integrated operations range from plantations and forestry R&D, to pulp and paper mills, including the provision of private access roads and jetty facilities. Its operations are strategically located, close to the major port of Singapore for swift distribution of its products to the world markets.

PT. Subur Makmur plantations are located on the equator in Sumatra. Ideal growing conditions here enable PT. Subur Makmur to grow trees maturing within 7 years. The high growth rates associated with the equatorial climate means that APRIL requires significantly less land to produce wood, compared to traditional producers in Scandinavia and North America. This strategic advantage coupled with modern technology and economies of scale place PT. Subur Makmur at the bottom of the international cost curve for pulp production.



PT. Subur Makmur began its operations in April 1998 as the commercial arm for the sales and marketing of its premium quality offset rolls, folio sheets and cut-sizes.

PT. Subur Makmur has established its worldwide presence with sales offices as well as representatives in all major markets in the world. Its flagship brand - PaperOne is available in more than 50 countries and is currently the only internationally marketed paper brand.

PT. Subur Makmur also owns a 50,800MT per year stationery cum paper converting plant in Suzhou near Shanghai, China as well as a 24,000MT per annum Converting Plant in HuangPu, Guangzhou.
