Metin Otomotiv was founded in early 1974 at Istanbul-Turkey with the desire to make available world class aftermarket autoparts. Marketing of automotive spare parts was a family business for approximately half century.
Metin Otomotiv A. S. manufactures all kinds of ferrous and non-ferrous powder metal parts, carbon brushes and self-lubricated sinter bearings. The Company began to develop alternative products for electrographite brushes and made its first resin-bound graphite in 1997.
Company meets 40% of the local markets overall demand of metal-graphite brushes under the trademark Karbomet and approximately 40% of the overall demand of self-lubricated sinter bearings under the trademark Metinburc. Especially heavyduty metal graphite brushes are sought and favoured in the Middle East and African markets.
The results were gratifying. In short span of time our products have been acknowledged as the highest quality coming out of Turkey.
