Seaweeds are naturally nourishing and have countless beneficial effects. Forty per cent of Durvillaea Antarctica is in fact Alginic Acid. The effectivenes of this acid in combating free radicals, responsible for ageing and cell degeneration, has been proved for some time. Alginic Acids acts by absorbing poisons container in free radicals and eliminating them, thus avoiding their being stored in the bone structure. It is equally effective in dealing with radioactive strontium or cholesterol.

Furthermore, it is very known the role of brown algae as raw material for other extraction industries that modify, extract and purify their chemical constituents and also, as a source of hydrolysates, meals and other products that serve as plant foods, animal and human feeds.
