ZIEMGALOS CARS was founded in 1993. The main activities of the enterprise are trade in trucks, buses, as well as special purpose machinery.In 2003 the enterprise signed the cooperation agreement with Minsk Vehicle Plant (Belarus), and in 2004 ZIEMGALOS CARS was granted the general right to assemble MAZ vehicles as well as sell them in all European Union countries.For the implementation of this goal ZIEMGALOS CARS founded the branch establishment in Vilnius and built the vehicle assembly shop MAZ BALTIJA at Savanoriu pr. 129 (Vilnius), during the grand opening of which on 23 September 2004 they presented the first MAZ vehicle, assembled in Lithuania. All vehicles, assembled in Vilnius, meet high requirements of EURO-4 standards; they are made up with the German DEUTZ and Mercedes engines, ZF gearboxes, ABS, speed limiters, tachographs, German-made clutches as well as electronic elements.
