Kelray Heating is owned by New Zealanders Kelvin Davis and Ray Maddix. Kelvin and Ray have been active in the automotive and industrial infrared heating market in New Zealand since the early 1990â²s. In 1998 they established Infratech Ltd (NZ), a wholly owned New Zealand company which manufactures some infrared heaters and imports others from the USA, Europe and Asia for industrial, automotive and maritime use in the industrial heating and curing process. Infratech Ltd (NZ) has been a trusted supplier of those products for 20 years and it will continue to manufacture heaters for industrial, commercial and marine markets.During recent times a surge in alfresco/ outdoor dining and outdoor smoking areas has increased the demand for efficient, high quality electric infrared heaters. To meet this demand, Kelray Heating has developed a new line of âKelrayâ infrared outdoor heaters and it is now successfully exporting them to Australia, the Pacific, and Europe. Kelray Heating also manufactures heaters under private labels for other heater distributors, both locally and in Australia and Europe.Kelvin and Rayâs previous experience in the design and manufacture of outdoor heaters led them to seek design changes â in this developing market the time had arrived for a better heater!
