Heppe Medical Chitosan is a German producer for high quality chitin, chitosan and chitosan derivatives.

The product range contains a large variety of standardized chitins, chitosan and chitosan derivatives. To generate reproducible and reliable products HMC works with precise, narrow specifications as degree of deacetylation and viscosity.

To find the appropriate chitosan customers can combine six standard degrees of deacetylation: 70 / 75 / 80 / 85 / 90 and 95%

with twelve viscosity levels:

5 / 10 / 20 / 50 / 100 / 200 / 500 / 1000 / 1500 / 2000 / 2500 and 3000 mPas.

In addition to standard products HMC also offers chitosan according to customer specifications with a minimum degree of deacetylation of 60% and viscosities up to 10 000 mPas.

The standard portfolio of chitosan derivatives includes:
Chitosan HCl, chitosan acetate, chitosan lactate and carboxymethylchitosan.

Our products are available in different product lines:
- Chitocare: as ingredient for cosmetic products
- Chitoscience: is used for university research
- Chitoceuticals: is used for research and developments in the fields of medicine and pharmaceutics by university research groups and industrial groups
- Chitoceuticals GMP compliant: is produced in clean rooms according to GMP guidelines. These products are especially interesting if they are used in pharmaceutics or medical devices.
