HISTORY

Filo Chemical Incorporated is celebrating its 65th anniversary in 2012. The Company was formed in 1947 as Filo Color & Chemical Corporation, an off-shoot of a chemical company called Fidelity Color Works, from which the name Filo is derived.

From its early days as a primary importer and distributor of chemicals for printing inks and carbon paper, Filo has transformed itself into a leading importer and distributor of foreign and specialty chemicals from major European and Asian manufacturers. The Company emphasizes its proven ability to supply hard-to-find chemicals on a global basis.

OPERATIONS

The largest market for Filo's products is in the organic chemical manufacturing industry which buys the Company's chemical intermediates.
