By the order of Minister of Middle mechanical engineering (ATOMPROM in the USSR) including Mining ore management, a Mining equipment Plant was introduced in 1976 in Lermontov for producing aggregation of submersible electro pumps, meant for lifting aggressive liquids from holes for production of minerals with the help of an underground lixiviation. With the expansion and development of production, the company was allocated in a separate industry - FGUP "Electromechanical plant".
