Company Description

Since its inception in the year 1980, Duratex has been engaged in the manufacture of shirting material, dress materials and most recently, ready-to-wear garments (shirts). As a result of the increased demand for Duratex products in the international market, the company exports approximately half of its total production to overseas buyers. Stringent quality control measures have ensured that our products have been well received in the quality conscious overseas markets.Export destinations include the Gulf countries, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia,Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Singapore besides several countries in Europe, Africa and South America. In tune with the continued growth of its operations, Duratex has devised future plans to sustain and increase its growth even further. At the centre of our growth plans is the establishment of a new garment production unit at Tarapur which will be Duratex's seventh unit. The project is aimed at manufacturing quality ready-to-wear shirts and is expected to be set up by the end of 2007. Our six manufacturing units are equipped with 158 weaving looms from Dornier Rapier, Bonus, Straubli and Sulzer which represent state-of-the-art quality and performance and can produce a maximum capacity of 690,400 meters per month. The combined output of these looms gives Duratex the capability to handle large orders on demand while conforming to international standards. The machinery also includes various Sizing machines. Duratex also possesses two in-house fancy yarn manufacturing units in Tarapur and Bhiwandi.Duratex presently exports approximately half of its production output. In view of the growing demand for the Duratex brand in the domestic and overseas markets, the company has recently commissioned a production unit comprising of Straubli Jacquard and Bonus Jacquard machinery in order to supplement the existing units.
