Not all silica types can be used commercially and some are far superior to others depending on the application. While some silica material may have a silica content of 98%, it may be inferior to another material of only 50% depending on the use. Some silica is extremely dangerous to human health while others offer a high level of vitality. Some silica has toxic levels of heavy metals while other types are extremely pure. Some silica are inert while others are chemically active.This vast difference in silica types, silica uses and silica suitability makes knowledge and selection of silica material very important. High Grade Amorphous Silica is a rare type of silica with properties that are unique. It can be used in areas that no other silica can be used and some instances is superior to other non-silica materials more commonly used by various industries.PRODUCT USESWhile a number of silica sources can be used for one or more commercial products, there are only two or three sources in the world (including our Mount Garnet DE) that can be used effectively for all of the following:�Termite control � non-toxic and no resistance build up.�Pest control � use in houses, schools, gardens, greenhouses, farms, grain storage protecting against weevils, beetles, mites, lice and moth, and on livestock farms to control worms, fleas, tics and flies.�Lightweight building material � for making bricks, wall panels and roof tiles. The materials are ten times stronger yet 50% lighter, without shrinkage cracks, are water, fire and freeze proof, termite resistant providing superior insulation. Natural amorphous silica provides an 8 hour fire rating.�Furnace liners � natural silica is one of the best refractory materials known, with lining lasting 50% longer than traditional furnace linings.�Animal feed � resulting in increased production. Dairy cows will experience an increase in milk production (up to 35%) and fat content (up to 65%). Cattle will experience weight gain (up to 25%). Meat chickens will have increased weight gain (up to 25%) and a shorter growth period (from 40 to 33 days) to achieve that weight gain. Egg chickens will experience a 20% increase in egg production while experiencing a 75% increase in deaths.Mount Garnet DE contains 15 trace elements that are essential to increased production. Production capacity (for fertiliser grade) can be up to 200 to 600 tons per day depending on the size of the crusher utilised. As DE is a natural product mined directly from the ground, production capacity may be reduced during the wet season (approximately December to April) when heavy rains impact on the mining processes.Domestic shipping is direct from the mine or from Mossman, Far North Queensland, depending on the quantity required. International shipping is out of the Port of Townsville, Far North Queensland.Different particle sizes are available to order from 4mm to fine powder. Prices vary according to particle size and quantity.PRODUCT CERTIFICATION AND ANALYSISThe quality of Diatomaceous Earth has been analysed by the Queensland Government (Australia) to determine whether there is any crystalline silica present. (Simtars Laboratory Procedure LP0016 - "Procedure for Measurement of Crystalline Silica in Airborne Dust by Infrared Spectroscopy"). The Queensland Government has certified that there are no detectable levels of crystalline silica present in the company�s Diatomaceous Earth. The typical analysis and rare earth analysis are available on request.A comparison analysis has been undertaken by the Russian Academy of Science to test the quality of the Mount Garnet DE with other DE products.
