This slip knot allows for the practitioner to choose the spacing between the beads ideal for them by sliding the stretcher this can be accomplised.I learned how to make malas in Bodhgaya, India (where the Buddha obtained enlightenment) and continue to get many of my supplies from the Northern region of India.
