DD Nature Craft was founded in 2003 with a main objective of producing eco-friendly products, and it mainly focuses on manufacturing hemp fabrics, the strongest natural fiber in the world; these fibers are produced by the traditional hand weaving from Hmong people living in the north of Thailand. The company key concept is to produce organic hand-woven hemp fiber and fabric by natural process including farming, dying and weaving until they become finished products. Originally, Hemp fiber has some important properties such as ventilation, duration and fungi-protection, and nowadays the company has introduced many innovations that have been augmented to hemp fabric such as water repellence, fire protection and nano micro capsule. DD Nature Craft has won the material excellence award in 2007, 2009 and 2010 by material conneXion held in Thailand. Some of the world famous brands such as Prada, Converse and Huskies have used its material to create products. According to its fabric business line, it is operating not only as a wholesaler in Thailand, but also as an exporter to some regions such as Japan, USA and Europe. A brand Hempthai has been introduced to penetrate commodity consumer market by transforming hemp fabric into products such as bags, shoes, and hat. Thus, its innovative products are quite interesting and quickly become well-known in Thailand in the present day. In term of CSR plan, the company aims to improve education and life quality of Hmong people by educating agriculture and handicraft for their occupation opportunities in future
