Chinook Trading Company was established in 1988 by Robert Scofield and partners. A fourth generation Oregonian, Scofield hoped to build a clothing and footwear company that would reflect the elegantly rugged, home spun spirit of the Pacific Northwest. Nearly 20 years later, Chinook Trading Company is still designing products that offer a winning blend of quality and value. Our designers are true Portlanders - they love their city and love its close proximity to mountains, rivers, and the ocean. Our clothing reflects this merge of city and natural landscape; featuring classic nature prints with a modern edge. Our footwear is similarly designed with the Northwest in mind; we aim to serve our customers with shoes that will support a love of hiking, fishing and exploring. Our footwear is designed to last and made with only the best of materials. We aim to offer our customer's products that are innovative, yet classic, and that are true quality at a value.
