CHIA CORP grows chia seed from the varieties selected by the Nahua people more than 500 years ago, rescued by the selection and improvement program developed by our technicians. In this way, the nutritional profile as well as natural endurance to attacks from plagues and disease, are kept.
This philosophy allows CHIA CORP to produce the seed in a conservative way avoiding the use of pesticides guaranteeing the absence of GMO (genetically modified organisms). Likewise, the applied layout plans assure quality control in every step of the whole process, and such controls are always applied by the staff belonging to CHIA CORP.
CHIA CORP commercializes only the seed produced by its exclusive integral production program. Once it has been set up for sale, the CHIA CORP seed shows a minimum guaranteed purity of 99,5% ( 0,5% remains of innocuous vegetables).
