BJ Tekstil, which has been established and started to manufacture with 100 workers in 1996 assumes the pivotal role in this area.Located in Buyukcekmece/Istanbul, BJ Tekstil has been ever expanding since then. With its well over 850 employees and a production capacity of 2.4 million pairs a year, BJ Tekstil partners with the pioneers of the denim industry around the world.Design and product development departments in BJ monitor the innovations and the new trends in the industry continuously. Making new investments to the state of the art technology production lines in the plants is a main strategy of the company.The new factory in Malatya (Akbulut Tekstil ), which started to manufacture in 2005 is one of the new investments the board finalized. And it is forecasted that by the end of 2006, the total production capacity of BJ Tekstil with the new Malatya plant will be doubled. In addition to this, although the garment production area is and will be dominated by denim products, the company will be expanding its product portfolio to include a wider range of non-denim woven categories too.
