Birko Birlesik Koyunlulular Mensucat Ticaret ve Sanayi A.S. was founded in 1972 with the initiatives of Koyunlu village citizens in Nigde. Factory construction started in 1973 and production started with Carded Cotton Yarn spinning in October 1975. Our production now continous with 8 facilities on an open area of 575.726 sqm and 134.675 sqm closed area following the investments made since establishment. Our production can be summarized under the below headings;

Our cotton yarn products; Carded, Combed, Compact and Open-End yarns are used in all kinds of outer and underwear, sports wear, hosiery and home textiles. We produce Carded Yarn in the range Ne 6/1-30/1, Combed Yarn in Ne 12/1-40/1 and OE yarn in the range of Ne 6/1-Ne 20/1. Depending on the demand, the single yarn can be folded and twisted to 2&3 folds. We have the Oeko-Tex Certificate for our cotton yarns.

Carpet weaving continuous now with 1.500.000 sqm annual production capacity with on 12 weaving looms. The new plant started in April 2007. We have our own woolen yarn spinning plant where we can produce 100% wool and 100% acrylic yarns. This plant has inside 2 dyeing rooms. Rug confection and finishing processes are conducted in our mill using latest technology. Our designers follow daily trends closely and prepare designs which may suit to the market demands.
The brand name KOYUNLU HALI is a demanded trade mark known with its high quality. We offer a wide range of carpets and rugs of Wilton Type and a fast service.

BIRKO AS who started its journey in 1975, now exports its cotton yarns and rugs to many countries, mainly to the EU countries.
