We are a company specialized in the design, manufacturing and distribution of lead acid batteries. We produce batteries for a large variety of applications (automotive, marine, solar energy, entertainment, industry , computer and telecommunication sectors).Created in 1938, controlled by its present main share holders since 1975, and quoted on Tunis Stock Market since Mars 2005, ASSAD has now become the leading company in the region of North Africa, in manufacturing and sales of lead acid batteries, with three production sites in Tunisia and Algeria, a production capacity of 1.600.000 batteries a year being extended to 3.000.000 and a turnover of more than 60 million US dollars (2012), of which presently more than 70% in export. ASSAD has set up quality and environmental management systems with a concern of providing its customers with products and services meeting their needs and full satisfaction. In this respect, ASSAD obtained certifications ISO 9001 edition 2000, ISO 14001 and ISO TS 16949/2002 by TÃVCERT.
